We are seeking a Research Fellow to play a key role in metabolomics-related research. The successful candidate will work both independently and collaboratively to analyse biological samples using mass spectrometry and multi-omics approaches. The research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying diseases such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), metabolic disorders, and the role of the gut microbiome in these conditions.

  • Independently design, plan, and execute experimental research aligned with project objectives.

  • Write and review research papers, present research outcomes, conceptualise new ideas and develop plans for independent research which could have a considerable influence and impact on the relevant field attracting research funding.

  • Provide support for external grant/protocol development, study design and management of research activities.

  • Source financial support for research activities by investigating potential sources of funding, collaborate with Principal Investigator to write and revise grant/fellowship applications.
